what's all the hype about F1 Grand Prix?that's what i initially thought 'cause unlike EPL which i know most of the players and especially when i'm into the game myself, who's lewis hamilton? i did randomly tune to a channel to watch a racing match but that was eons ago when michael schumacher was still into his glory days. but...having said that, i watched the race these 2 nights. was quite disappointed when F.Alonso came in 15th in the qualifying round. i guess the most devasted person was him as his body language tells it all. fortunately lucky star shone over him tonight. he came in 1st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but Renault was not 1st in the constructor championship list.. oh well.. anyway, great job alonso!!! i was surprised when notti thanked me for taking care of his takio. :) hmmm...i felt quite peaceful then. my heartbeat didn't race like the F1. i realise that one cannot be too greedy in this life. we might end up with nothing at all. that's what i was taught as a kid. choose what's best for myself and leave the rest alone (for others). learn the limits and cherish what we have then. the trouble is, i need a clear mind to choose. i don't want to be a kickass. -290908-0124 Sunday, September 28, 2008
"two full (chicken)" became "too full"funny lah bro..... i couldn't understand you -.-  for as much as i love colors, i can live in between blacks and whites. though vibrance means a fuller life, my choice was clear cut. i want to fit into his simple life. a struggle it may be, tedious it could be colors are not meant to be mine. i just smiled; he never cares if i whined (anyway). the way to accept life itself is to accept our outcome. mclaughlin's "so close" encircles around us but hey keep listening on. so close and still so far. so far............................................................ so, let's be friends. i'll wait till the day when we find it again. -280908-0119

 my new look!!! ....just for a day.. sad lo.. but kudos to rickkit (my stylist) for doing up my hair. 'cause now i have trouble maintaining this look. all thanks to my butter fingers that i have a hard time reaching to the back of hair to tie a plait. :( those lucky peeps saw my new hair on the day of vx screening. short fringe and a dark brown color. umm..thats my new look for the brand new semester! yes! i believe a new hairstyle marks a lucky start! and hope "some" things go well too..... -250908-0038 (what flavor of cake should i get tomorrow?) 080908:had a "warm" pre-birthday celebration with dear. we went for dinner at this small japanese hut (this is what i called it) which i've forgotten its name. Hmmm..I guess it's quite rare to find such places with authentic jap layout like those we could see in jap programmes or dramas (or maybe i just haven't met one yet in sg). it's really different from sakae sushi those kind and i like it alot! i had an early dinner at my granny's place before the meeting so my tummy was still filled up at that instant, whereas dear was hungry to the max. he ordered an unagi bento set while i ordered something like a sushi platter...you know, there are different kinds of fish that they use in sushi other than salmon? there's this kind that turns me off. it has a red colored flesh which taste bland. i will never touch this fish again. haha. oh, the appetizer was century egg cold tofu. unique right? didn't know that tradional chinese food like century egg could mix so well in a jap cuisine, nevertheless it was heavenly! afterwhich we thought of going for a drink but at this time, the weather turned for the worst. it was pouring heavily in the night which left us no choice but to head home. anyway, the latter event was just postponed, not cancelled. :) 120908: post birthday celebration with dear lilin! we skipped the seminar just to go out. we headed to cineleisure for k-lunch. this was the first time singing with lilin, and i realised that she had a voice as nice as rainie's. i said: "why not join astro talent?"....i mean since she has the criteria she should make full use of it. who knows one day she might become a singer or something...hahahahaha...the lunch for that day was not too bad: unagi bento set with mochi and orange pudding. then we went to taka's mooncake fair. we had come to a conclusion as to buy mooncakes from which stall, then we went shopping in taka. after some time, we had forgotten about our mooncakes and just left for far-east. damnit, gotta walk back to taka again! argh..................what we bought? we bought the same blouse each, but with different color. wheeee~ i also bought a pair of shoes and last but not least, my mooncakes! what caught my attention were the rose-flavored ones..no play play manz.....and i also bought yam and lotus flavored ones. yummmmmm 130908: went to dear's place to pass them the mooncakes. wasn't really in a good state that day. was having the classic flu symptoms in the morning and it lasted throughout the day, but i was still adament in going to his place. we went for dinner but i really had no appetite. i felt nauseous and the sight and smell of food in the market worsened my condition even more. sad............been wanting to try the famous satay bee hoon badly as that stall always closes whenever i went there and on the day itself, it was open. suay.....just when i don't feel like eating...............hais. in the end, i ordered fish soup lo...though it barely filled my stomach but luckily the lime juice after the meal made the nausea went away (only temporarily). thought that i would feel better at night but it came back yet again. 140908: sore throat came at a full blast. going to see doc tomorrow... -150908-0047(semi-sick) Thursday, September 11, 2008
birthday girl has alot to say today!truckloads of thank-yous to my lovely friends and colleagues: -notti (the first to wish me happy birthday in the wee hours) -dear -suat hoon -dad -bro -rena -gary lee -dear lilin -iryn -say hong -francis -boon long -mikoh -vincent -classmates -jeremy (J&J) -ms yip -mr toh of all these, i felt the most for notti's and dear's sms. when i read dear's sms, i was laughing all the way. i bet i'll laugh even harder if i request him to sing to me. however, notti's sms created an urge to cry. perhaps i'm touched that he remembered my bday which he said before that he would. or perhaps i'm missing him a slightly too much. it came at almost 2am but i only woke up and read the message at 4am. afterwhich, i couldn't get back to sleep. tossed around and finally fell into a short miserable slumber which lasted only 45 mins before my alarm rang. dreamt of notti. can i be a lil greedy? can i wish that he'll call me some time today? tried to keep it simple. i did tried very very very hard. but my heart just pushed me to act to its reverse order. i'm afraid i can't take it anymore. -110908-1700 Monday, September 08, 2008

@ koi garden, suntec city:   i wish i had a childhood like this. in the picture is this family feeding the koi. the scene looks so heartwarming....i don't remember my childhood days include family outings like this....  a caucasian family having lunch at Tony Romas. seeing them having one serving after another.. wow...what a huge appetite!  this was when i was walking to the bus stop (still in suntec) after eating at Oosters. very quiet as all the shops had closed by late night. -080908-0027 Friday, September 05, 2008
i kind of enjoy myself being in this optical trade 'cause it let me understand and experience the afterwork nightlife which i've never really comprehend before.once i officially enter this trade after my graduation, i believe there's more to come! hah. hit the pub for a round of drinks with some finger food while watching a football match.....not bad right? a few of my colleagues and myself met up after work for a chit chatting cum feasting session at Oosters which was just a mere few steps from our shop to this dining pub. we ordered a a platter that consists of a whole load of fries, tempura prawns, fried beefballs, mashed potatoes, and different kinds of sausages. all in all, they were just simply a fried dish. hah. what i love about the platter was that it came with it 6 different unique sauces which i've never heard of, tasted and saw in my whole life. i could just recognise the mayo. lol. the sauces were basically sour in taste, so i reckoned that it probably consist of vinegar or pickles as one of the condiments. hmmm..but i love them all!! simply because they are sour! hahaha.......... we also ordered mussels in white wine plus celery gravy. wowww!!! this was my fave! i guess everyone enjoyed this the most! yumyum..... of course not to forget that this dining pub is most famous for it's specially-brewed beer. each of us ordered a different beer, wanting to just try its flavour. i was too spoilt for choices as the menu bombarded me with too many kinds of beer and all seems pretty appealing to me. hahaha in the end i ordered Duvel, which was stated as the best selling beer in the shop. no kid. 8.5%. could actually go for another round but it was ex lo..........hais.. reached home at around 12am and had a nice sleep after that :) -050908-2321 |
